Following an established tradition we met for our annual New Years Reunion to farewell together the old year and welcome 2016.
This year more than twenty Pangaea Project members gathered in one of the highest mountain villages of the Alps in the Swiss Juf/Avers on 2100m altitude. Due to a lack of snow ski touring was not possible. Yet we found great activities to pass by time: hiking the surrounding peaks and ridges, practicing with our avalanche kits, playing games and catching up on projects, trips and ideas.
The calm and beautiful Alpine environment provided the perfect inspiration for a successful start into the new year. We sat at the camp fire, played music and enjoyed the company of a very unique group of people. The organization was amazing, the vegetarian food tasty and many thanks go to the organization team Chris and Luana!
This year promises to be exciting for the association with many trips and projects, among others cycling in South Africa, tree planting in South America and continuing engagement in the German Black Forest.
Stay tuned!
