Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Join us

Join us:

During 23 and 27 June 2014, we are going back to Fontein Combined School in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. We are continuing the project that we started in 2012 (http://pangaea-project.org/projects/geberit-collaboration-projects/south-africa-2012/). Our aim is to further promote environmental awareness by taking the school children on educational outings to the Mailtland Sand Dunes. Here they will learn more about the environment, as well as caring for it.

The school is situated in the informal settlement of Galvandale – a very poor area in Port Elizabeth. And with the steady approach of winter in the southern hemisphere, and numerous children who cannot afford school uniforms, we have decided to help out. We aim to provide the children with new school uniforms so that they too can stay warm.

Although these are our main aims, we will aslo check up on the food garden, sanitary facilities and the feeding scheme that we implemented in 2012.

If you are inteested in participating and putting smiles on the children’s faces, please contact Lani van Niekerk (lanilvn@gmail.com) or Constantin Vogt (constantin@pangaeaproject.org) as soon as possible!
