Home > Pangaea South Africa > Peace, please!

This morning Taryn and a local took us through the township next to the school. They told us stories about these streets and we saw under which circumstances the kids from the school live.

There is a lot of racism and violence in the streets, so that there are frequently shootings in the nights about drug or alcohol problems. The kids take this violence to school as they are not really used to anything else. So it happens that they hit or bully each other for no visible reason.

That’s why we started with a new wall which says NO RACISM, NO VIOLENCE – PEACE. Hopefully this painting will remind the kids that violence shouldn’t be an option as you can solve your problems in peace.
