The food garden  which was started by Pangaea  has been named: The Sylvia Kivetts Memorial garden.

Mrs Kivetts passed away in July this year, started her teaching career at Fontein Combined School and continued teaching here till she passed away early July 2012. She was a dedicated, goal-orientated  teacher who lived to serve her school and community. She started teaching at Fontein in the year 1970.

We thus thought it would be appropriate to name the food garden in her honour so that her memory can flourish and always be part of the spirit at Fontein.

Today, the 27th August , which  would have been her birthday, we shall have an inauguration ceremony of the garden, dedicated to her. Thank you, Pangaea for the initiation of this garden to serve our school and our broader community.
